John, I have been interested in your flys and use your patterns for most of the flys I tie. Can you help me find the Clark’s poly yarn in gold , rust, segregated gold or orange, or substatutes or blends for substitutes. I have been on the web looking and can not find what appears to be anything that appears to be similar. If needed I can try to die to match cooler if you I could get the die formula. You gave me the formula for the norm wood special color for the calf tail color, but have not died any tails.
Hi Michael – I don’t have any insights where to find it. I plan to see Lee this weekend and will ask him for alternatives. I know he didn’t dye any. I think he might be out of the business of supplying yarn to shops, but I’ll check. John
Hello John, I really enjoy your blog thank you. My question to you is what little green stone fly & favorite Fall Flav pattern for the Met would you recommend ?
