Craig Mathews and Blue Ribbon Flies

I’m really looking forward to this weekend, February 21 and 22, 2015. Craig Mathews from Blue Ribbon Flies in West Yellowstone, Montana will be in Bend to provide a 2-day fly fishing seminar entitled Exploring Yellowstone Country’s Overlooked Waters.

Craig is a wealth of information, so you better not miss an incredible opportunity to learn from the master.

Specifically, the Workshop is jointly sponsored by my local fly club Central Oregon Flyfishers and Sunriver Anglers.

“This workshop brings together entomology, pattern selection, presentation, and fly tying along with conservation for the fly fisherman. It will include Yellowstone’s overlooked waters, places to visit most anglers have never heard of, and opportunities just a short walk down the path. Craig will review the different times of year, special insect emergences and so much more.”

I’ve talked about Craig in a previous post – Craig Mathews and Blue Ribbon Flies – and how he has influenced my fishing and fly tying.

You’ll find many flies on the Fly Pattern page from Blue Ribbon Flies. Here are links to some of my favorites:

If you’re interested, please go to Central Oregon Flyfishers website to register.

Are you planning a trip to Montana or Yellowstone Park? If you are, this program is a must for you.

If not, at least check out his flies. I guarantee they catch fish!

Hope I see you there!
