Fall Colors

Fall is definitely in the air and the river is showing it’s colors the last few weeks. And fall colors are always spectacular.

Whether it’s fishing for steelhead…

…or along my home river.

It’s a great time of year to stop and appreciate the view as you’re waiting for a hatch to begin and fish rise.

And the fall colors aren’t only along the river…check out the fish.

In my experience, fall provides a few days when you’ll see fish eating everything in sight to put on winter fat. The fish know winter isn’t far away.

If you are lucky enough to be fishing on one of those days, it can be magical!
