I tied this pin recently for my wife as she left to lead a Casting for Recovery retreat. I thought it appropriate to highlight this Polly Rosborough fly as the first TBT fly in October to bring recognition to breast cancer awareness month. I’m in the process of tying a box of flies for an upcoming auction. I’ll provide more information in the near future.

Ernest H. “Polly” Rosborough (1902 – 1997) lived in Chiloquin, Oregon and his home river was the Williamson River.

Polly tied a large variety of flies but is probably best known as an author of Tying and Fishing the Fuzzy Nymph (1965).

Here is the Silver Admiral steelhead fly as featured in John Shewey’s Classic Steelhead Flies, page 153.
