In this week’s post, I continue making my transition from fishing to tying lots of flies. Read on to learn more about tying flies and 2018 Christmas list!

I’m still adding flies to the provider box. If you read last week’s Filling the Provider Box post, you know I tied several dozen RiverKeeper Soft Hackle Cripple – BWO. Now I’ve switched to the PMD versions of this fly.

Not only am I tying flies for the provider box, I’m deciding which flies to tie for a couple of fly plates to be auctioned at the 2019 NW Expo in Albany, OR on March 8 – 9.

I plan to attend the 2018 Pacific Northwest Fly Tyers Rendezvous this weekend in Portland, OR. It’s the first stop of several locations I plan to demonstrate my fly tying skills in the next several months. I’ll be tying all day, so if you are in the Portland-Metro area, be sure to stop and watch me tie a fly or two.

Lastly, Christmas is only 49 days away and I’m working on my upcoming blog post for the 2018 Fly Fisher’s Christmas List. The list can be shared with someone who needs ideas for your Christmas present. Check out the 2017 Fly Fisher’s Christmas List and let me know what items I should update. Is your favorite present listed?

And if you are thinking about ordering a few RiverKeeper Flies for a Christmas present, now would be a good time to get in touch with me. Just leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you quickly.

Enjoy…go fish!
