Stovepipe

Today’s Throw Back Thursday fly. This fly is a what we called the Stovepipe back in the day. It’s tied different than other Stovepipes flies I’ve seen. And was tied a LONG time ago. Makes me smile at my tying abilities back then.  🙂

  1. That fly crushed the Metolius River for me when I was a kid learning to fly fish. I still have a few Stovepipes that are over 40 years old that I bought at the Camp Sherman Store.
    They have to be a dark olive body or they aren’t the real thing
