Here is the fly pattern sheet for the Callibaetis Cripple, a fly my friend Phil Fischer taught at a Central Oregon Flyfisher’s Winter fly tying class.

Materials

Hook:

TMC 100 or Daiichi 1180, size 12 – 16

Thread:

Tobacco brown or light olive

Shuck:

Light olive Zelon

Rib

Fine copper, bronze or red wire

Body:

Light olive dubbing or turkey biot

Thorax:

Light olive dubbing blend – 25% tan UV and 75% light olive

Wing:

Texas whitetail deer hair

Hackle:

Tan/Callibaetis or Grizzly Dyed Dun Whiting Saddle
