I’ve been taking a lot of pictures while on the water in the last couple of weeks. We haven’t seen many fish rising, so I watch the river to see what catches my eye. I pack a couple extra lenses with me and pull them out to capture a variety of pictures. Thanks for all the comments and compliments about my Rainbow eating a Green Drake series. Here is my latest images from the water. I hope you enjoy the variety.
Bald eagle flying over the Metolius
A couple wildflowers along the river…forget me nots on the right. Notice the ant in the left image?
Series of American dipper, aka water ouzel feeding on a nearby log.
Green Drake floating downstream
Two images a split second apart of a Green Drake flying off the water.
Another series where a Rainbow rises to eat a Green Drake in a small eddy.
Look closely and you can see the trout’s eye and open mouth. The Green Drake is out of focus in the open mouth as the trout almost breaks the water.
A Hoverfly…Google Lens is amazing! I’ve never heard of this bug before.
Lizard on the Metolius
And yes, sometimes I land a fish!
Enjoy…go fish!
Those Metolius Redbands are sure beautiful!
