I hope you saw this week’s post about fall PMDs. I shared several images of insects I found in an eddy. I’ll begin this week’s images from the water post with a few more. I hope you enjoy this week’s portfolio.
We’re seeing larger than normal kokanee from Lake Billy Chinook. Large trout are staging behind them too.
Mayfly spinner
Caddis
Silver-striped sedge on shore vegitation.
PMD floating down the river.
Dragonfly
And yes, an occasional fish…very occasional.
Enjoy…go fish!
You have a knack for capturing the essence!
Hey John – Thanks for these beautiful close-ups of fall mayflies…These are pushing me to get on the streams NOW!! Great weather for a few days too.
Great photos, John. Love the under water shots. That big rainbow looks hungry.
Thanks Wayne…actually, they are kokanee salmon from Lake Billy Chinook.
As always John, you photographs are stunning.
